Student Committees

Contributing to school life

At Ecole Jeannine Manuel, our students take an active role in school life and contribute in a significant way to the school community as a whole. In each committee, students work closely together with their peers and with teachers or designated members of staff to discuss and find new ideas that can benefit the entire community.

Student Council

École Jeannine Manuel’s Student Council represents the commitment of its students to their own school community and ongoing projects. It consists of 20 individuals from the Théâtre Campus in Paris. Every year, two representatives per grade are elected for a one year term from among the students at the Théâtre campus. The Student Council aims to encourage student involvement in school life, as well as collaboration between students of different grades, teachers, members of staff, and parents.

Eco-Committee

Eco-Committee

The Eco-Committee’s mission is to promote sustainable and green initiatives within the school. In 2020, the Paris committee obtained the “eco-school” certification for the Paris school (the Lille school obtained its certification in 2017). The Eco-Committee raises awareness on issues such as global warming and other environmental crises. It seeks to find solutions to those problems and apply them at the school level. Some of their recent initiatives include: implementing solutions against food waste, reducing plastic consumption, addressing energy related issues, creating a greener school, and much more!

Extracurricular activities

We believe that learning goes beyond the classroom. Our school offers many extracurricular activities for both primary and secondary school students.
